Still continuing the strategy of pulling wells, but seemed to get bogged down a bit with odd things coming up.

I dusted off the geology skills a bit and started looking over my neighbor's shoulder a bit around the Khan-Akin leases for coal seam gas.  The odd thing is that the deeper coal is not present about a mile to the west of our Khan lease (stripped out by the Bartlesville channel).  To the East of our leases are good coals with proven production.  I am working up the feasibility of drilling out the casing shoe in the Khan #2 and attempting an open hole completion in the coal.  It is a long shot, but shouldn't cost much to attempt.

We are getting closer to actually working on the Andy Brown 3-W disposal well.  My six road signs should be done in about a week.  Then we have to get the high voltage power lines dropped and fix the access location for a potential wash job.  In addition I have to have finances lined up in case something goes bad, on top of having to replace the tubing with some good PVC lined pipe.

Poor John is not doing well in the heat this year, so I have hired Marty Cumings to help during the summer.  Marty is a High School Senior this year  and worked for us last year.  Sarah is working 1-2  days per week as well.

We nearly lost the Bird Creek gun barrel at the end of June, but with some careful fiberglass and epoxy work, I brought it back into service without losing a day's production.  However the warning shot has been sent across the bow.  I must get ready to replace it.

My optional projects grind to a halt this time of year as accounting rises up to take the number one spot.  Hopefully most of it will be behind me by the end of July.
